What is the difference between 191aa and 192aa HGH?
The 191-amino-acid form (somatropin) is sequence-identical to natural pituitary growth hormone. The older 192aa form (somatrem) carried an extra N-terminal methionine left over from early bacterial expression, which made it more immunogenic and prone to antibody formation. Modern 191aa is the bioidentical reference standard for that reason.
Is somatropin the same thing as HGH?
